The technology creates a structurally non-stick surface without the need for any coatings. A URA treated surface has a satin appearance which is slightly rough to the touch. URA technology has been patented by a key Italian factory that produces domestic and food preparation items.

High performance stainless steel

Based in Milan (Italy), Menfi Industria Srl produces its food preparation items using EN 1.4404 (AISI 316L) stainless steel which is known for its high performance in various fields and hygiene safety. URA technology is an integral part of the pot and, unlike a coating, the surface particles cannot detach. This means the surface does not become damaged with use over time. It also effectively protects the pot from mechanical scratches, corrosion and wear, thus creating an indestructible and durable tool.

The high performance cookware has excellent performance for both its non-stick surface and for obtaining the best results in food cooking.

Established in the early 1990’s, the company currently has a production capacity of over one million items per year. All products meet the highest quality standards and are produced using advanced technologies, capable of guaranteeing an exceptional level of manufacture.

The characteristics from URA technology are as follows:
  • tension-free
  • free of micro-inclusions
  • free of micro-burrs (the coating does not come off)
  • easy to clean
  • low friction
