Sandvik Coromant has announced that it will be holding a Technologic event focused on machining processes for applications with difficult-to-machine materials. The event will take place on 27 October 2010 at the Sandvik Coromant Productivity Center in Schaumburg, Illinois, US and feature a variety of sessions from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Alcoa has announced that Kevin J Anton has been named Chief Sustainability Officer, responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy that integrates all of the company's sustainability efforts. Mr Anton, who has led the Alcoa Sustainability Steering Committee for the past year, comes to his new role after serving as VP, Finance and Strategy, for Alcoa Global Primary Products.
