A Successful Stainless Steel World Americas Conference and Exhibition!
The eighth biennial Stainless Steel World Americas Conference and Exhibition was held last week on November 18th and 19th at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas.
The successful two-day event was attended by visitors from all around the world including Sweden, Switzerland, China, Germany, France and the United States. These international delegates were a great mix of end-users, EPCs, manufacturers and distributors, including representatives from such influential companies as ExxonMobil, Shell, Celanese, Huntsman, Air Liquide and Technip.

Since moving locations from the Woodlands in 2012, the event was better attended by visitors who enjoyed walking the exhibition floor and speaking with knowledgeable exhibitors such as Energy Metals, Spuncast, Bahco and Centravis. Visitors and exhibitors alike were able to network and obtain quality leads.
The conference, which ran concurrently with the exhibition, was also well attended. Each day began with two plenary lectures given by representatives from Huntsman, Sage Environmental, Shell and Materials Technology Institute (MTI). Conference sessions were filled with interested delegates who challenged the speakers with educated and thoughtful questions and many in-depth discussions followed. It was thrilling to see industry professionals sharing ideas and collaborating on important industry topics.
The Stainless Steel World Americas team is thankful for the help of influential associations such as Materials technology Institute (MTI) and The Steel Tank Institute (STI/SPFA), whose participation and assistance helped create a solid conference program.
Plans are already in place for the 2016 Stainless Steel World Americas Conference and Exhibition, which will also be held in Houston with a focus on the theme of managing aging plants.
