Air Products’ LNG Technology for Freeport LNG

5 July 2015

Air Products announced an agreement to provide its proprietary LNG technology, equipment, and process license for Freeport LNG Development’s Train 3 gas liquefaction and export project. The sale includes Air Products’ main cryogenic coil-wound heat exchangers and associated technology, which will be vital in the production of LNG at the facility near Freeport, Texas.

Air Products will supply its proprietary AP-C3MRTM liquefaction technology, and its MCR® Main Cryogenic Heat Exchanger will be installed at the heart of the proprietary propane pre-cooled mixed refrigerant liquefaction process.... Read more...

TimkenSteel recently opened a USD 5M technology centre at its Northeast Ohio corporate campus to gives the company a unique advantage in achieving clean special bar quality (SBQ) steel and developing new steel grades.

Otto Energy announced the appointment of Matthew Allen as managing director, effective 24 June 2015. Matthew will also continue as CEO.

EXPRO secures Tullow Oil contract win

3 July 2015

International oilfield services company Expro secured new contracts from Tullow Oil, Africa’s independent oil company. Worth in excess of USD 100M over three years, the contracts will see Expro work across Tullow Oil’s assets in Ghana, including the Jubilee Field and the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN) field project.

Following on from Expro’s phase one contract for Jubilee, involving more than 10 completions, the company has been awarded continued services for phase 1a.... Read more...

Johan Sverdrup construction starts

3 July 2015

Production of the first elements on the Johan Sverdrup project has begun. On 29 June, Kværner metalworker Stian Myrvold Green started up the machine that will cut the steel for the riser platform jacket on the Johan Sverdrup field.

Construction work has commenced, at Kværner in Verdal, on the biggest industrial project in Norway for decades to come.... Read more...
