EUR 500M bond issue for Vallourec

21 October 2014

Vallourec successfully launched a EUR 500M bond issue, maturing in September 2024, with an annual coupon of 2.25%.

The bond proceeds will be used for the general financing purposes of the group, enabling Vallourec to increase its financial flexibility and lengthen the maturity of its debt profile.

This 10-year bond issue is rated BBB by Standard & Poor's and would be listed on Euronext Paris.... Read more...

Xodus, Saipem, Chiyoda form new subsea company

International energy consultancy Xodus Group launched a global subsea engineering company in partnership with oil and gas contractor Saipem and mid and downstream oil and gas giant Chiyoda Corporation.

NEC supplier for Hong Kong extension of AAE-1

KKI supports Females in Factories campaign

Lynn Mowbray and Angela Bailey, directors of engineering firm Koso Kent Introl (KKI) have been appointed ambassadors for the ‘Females in Factories’ campaign. Run by Women in Manufacturing in partnership with Works Management Magazine, this new initiative aims to inspire the next generation of females in UK manufacturing.

Polypropylene technology contract for CB&I in China

20 October 2014

CB&I has been awarded a contract by Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group for the license and engineering design of a polypropylene unit to be built in Lingwu, Yinchuan City, Ningxia, People's Republic of China.

worldsteel announces 5th Steelie Awards

The World Steel Association (worldsteel) hosted its fifth Steelie Awards ceremony and announced the winners at the annual dinner of the 48th worldsteel conference in Moscow on 6 October. The trophies, known as Steelies, were awarded in seven categories this year.

O&G operators hold off investments in North Sea

Oil and gas operators may be sitting on new investment decisions until the future of the North Sea becomes clearer, according to the latest report from business advisory firm Deloitte. The report, which details drilling, licensing and deal activity across North West Europe over the third quarter of 2014, was compiled by Deloitte’s Petroleum Services Group (PSG) and found that four deals were announced offshore UK....
