Update your Knowledge on Duplex Stainless Steels
No fewer than 500 conference delegates and approximately 450 expo visitors came together in Beaune, France, last October to participate at the Duplex World Stainless Steel Conference & Expo 2010. The conference programme offered excellent presentations and workshops creating an unique platform for both suppliers and users from all over the world.
Over 120 papers were presented in a comprehensive conference programme covering a wide range of topical issues on applications, corrosion, metallurgy, welding, QC/NDT, lean and hyper duplexes, machinability, fabrication and others. Stainless Steel World had organised a parallel Duplex World Expo at which about 45 exhibiting companies offered their technical and commercial expertise giving an update on product availability.
Thanks also to an extensive social programme including a visit to the “Hospices de Beaune” it really became an informative and entertaining event where suppliers, researchers, stockists, distributors and end-users could meet in an informal and friendly atmosphere. The highlight of the event was the conference dinner at the world famous Chateau du Clos de Vougeot offering all participants an unforgettable Burgundian experience with fine wines and great cuisine.
